Flower pot holders are not something you think about unless you have just the right situation. Most of the time you just use flower pots and containers. However there are some great pot holders that can be clamped to deck rails and fences that can really brighten up some very dull places in your outdoor decor. They can also be used in conjunction with trellises in and around your yard and garden. I have a wonderful set of stand alone holders made for different sized pots that stake in the ground and can be used almost anywhere. This allows me to bring color wherever I can use a stake. (more…)

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009I took a look at my brand-name plastic containers in the cabinet the other day and was disgusted to see how stained they looked. I try to keep a separate container or two set aside for storing tomato sauce and other staining foods, but sometimes I grab the wrong container anyway. So quite a few are looking a little tired even though this latest set is barely a year old. I bought them in a bit of a hurry without thinking, since I really didn’t want to add more plastic containers to my supply.
