15th Century Longsword – The Hand-And-Half Sword

The 15th Century Longsword is also known as the hand-and-half sword. This sword was used mainly as a civilian weapon and its purpose was to serve as a weapon of self defense. This sword was used along with a dagger and was mainly used to defend homes against thieves, robbers, assassins, footpads and even robber bands that used to roam the countryside during those times.
