The Mystic Sword of the Witchking

Fans of Tolkien’s epic trilogy cannot think about the Witchking without shuddering. The Witchking were the deadly shadow slaves who were ruled by Sauron. Before becoming the Witchking, these lost souls were formally the King of Men, but the Ring corrupted them, until they could think of the ring and nothing else. They’re sole purpose is to locate the ring. The Witchking were armed with swords crafted in Mordor. While the Witchking are a frightening example of what can happen when an obsession goes too far, they also intrigue us.
