When I am feeling stressed for any reason, one thing that always enables me to relax is to take a hot bubble bath in my candle lit bathroom. I will light candles all over the room, fill the bathtub with water as hot as I can stand, and use a soothing bubble bath scented with lavender to help calm my nerves.
As I slip into the hot water, I can immediately feel the stresses of the day melt away. It is a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by hazy, warm light and the healing scent of lavender. I have even known my husband to do this, after particularly rough days at work. When you are done soaking, you will leave feeling like a new person.
