The Brita filter OB03 replacement cartridge fits all Brita pitchers and dispensers providing fresh water for about 2 months or for 40 gallons worth. The activated carbon and ion exchange resin work together to produce healthier, pure tasting drinking water. However, if is not intended as a purifier and should not be used on water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality. The Pitcher for which these cartridges are designed is NSF and Water Quality Association certified to reduce lead, mercury, benzene, copper and other contaminants as well as improving taste and odor.
